Data Deletion Instructions
We respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to request deletion of your information from PostZona.
Your Right to Data Deletion
Under data protection laws including GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations, you have the right to request deletion of your personal information. PostZona is committed to honoring these rights and will process your deletion request within 30 days.
What Data Will Be Deleted?
When you request account deletion, the following information will be permanently removed:
Account Information
- • Name and email address
- • Password (hashed)
- • Profile settings
- • Account preferences
Business Data
- • Business profiles
- • Products and services
- • Campaigns and content
- • Brand assets
Content & Media
- • Uploaded images
- • Generated content
- • AI-created images
- • Scheduled posts (unpublished)
Connected Accounts
- • Facebook access tokens
- • Instagram connections
- • Page permissions
- • Social media metadata
Important Note
Posts already published to Facebook/Instagram cannot be deleted from those platforms through PostZona. You must delete published posts directly from your Facebook Pages or Instagram accounts. PostZona only removes your data from our systems.
Data Retention Exceptions
In some cases, we may be required to retain certain information for legal or business purposes:
- Transaction Records: Payment history and invoices may be retained for tax and accounting purposes (typically 7 years).
- Legal Obligations: Data required to comply with legal, regulatory, or contractual requirements.
- Fraud Prevention: Information necessary to prevent fraud and abuse (anonymized where possible).
- Backup Systems: Data may persist in backup systems for up to 90 days before being permanently deleted.
When retention is required, we will anonymize your personal information whenever possible.
How to Request Data Deletion
Method 1: Self-Service Account Deletion (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your data is through your account settings:
- Log in to your PostZona account at app.postzona.com
- Navigate to Settings → Account Settings
- Scroll to the bottom and click "Delete Account"
- Confirm your password to verify your identity
- Read the deletion warning and confirm your decision
- Click "Permanently Delete My Account"
You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.
Method 2: Email Request
If you cannot access your account or prefer to request deletion via email:
- Send an email to privacy@postzona.com
- Use the subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- Include the following information in your email:
- Your full name
- Email address associated with your account
- Account username (if different from email)
- Confirmation that you want to delete all personal data
- We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request
We will respond to your request within 48 hours and complete deletion within 30 days.
Method 3: Facebook App Data Deletion
If you connected PostZona through Facebook and want to delete your data through Facebook's interface:
- Go to your Facebook Settings & Privacy → Settings
- Navigate to Apps and Websites
- Find PostZona in the list
- Click Remove to revoke permissions
- Then follow Method 1 or 2 above to delete your PostZona account data
What Happens After Deletion?
- 1Immediate: Your account is deactivated and you can no longer log in.
- 2Within 24 hours: All personal data is removed from our production databases.
- 3Within 7 days: All uploaded images and generated content are deleted from AWS S3 storage.
- 4Within 30 days: All scheduled posts (not yet published) are canceled and removed.
- 5Within 90 days: All traces of your data are removed from backup systems.
Consequences of Deletion
Warning: This action is permanent and cannot be undone
Once your data is deleted, you will lose:
- Access to all campaigns and content
- All uploaded brand assets and images
- Campaign performance history and analytics
- Scheduled posts (they will not be published)
- Remaining credit balance (no refunds)
- Business profiles and social media connections
If you want to use PostZona again in the future, you will need to create a new account and start from scratch.
Alternative: Export Your Data
Before deleting your account, you may want to download a copy of your data:
- Log in to app.postzona.com
- Navigate to Settings → Privacy & Data
- Click "Download My Data"
- You will receive an email with a download link (valid for 7 days)
The export includes all your campaigns, content, images, and account information in JSON and ZIP format.
